What ever happened to West Norfolk Health?
West Norfolk Health was started in 2006 as a very different organisation to what we see today. The company was formed to be prepared to consider taking on future NHS service opportunities that may arise.
In 2011, the first contract that was taken on was Community Cardiology, which has now developed into the 24 Hour ECG Service. Shortly after this the company employed the West Norfolk Choose and Book Team (now E-Referrals) when a referral Management Service was introduced to West Norfolk, which has subsequently become the Referral Support Service.
The transformation over the last two years has been significant, with an expanded vision, increased portfolio of services, mature governance and increased staff. When external partners comment on your tired website, commenting that it does not reflect the organisation they experience on a day to day, you know the time is ripe for a rebrand! The process inevitably involves a degree of soul searching and as a result we felt a name change supported the message we hope our new website brings – that the organisation has continually evolved, and is a valuable partner to both primary care and commissioners alike, contributing to achieving high quality care for our patient population.
As the organisation will function in largely the same way, a key part of the brief was evolution rather than revolution, does Health West Norfolk fit that brief? We hope you enjoy our new website and would love to hear your feedback.
