We help
Commissioners
We are here to help Commissioners demonstrate cost effective
delivery of reliable health services at scale.
How do we help?
We provide centralised primary care support with a proven track record.
Regional representation. Our membership unites the whole West Norfolk region encompassing 21 GP practices with a patient population of 185,000. Since 2006 we have built a strong communication network across our member practices and understand their unique needs and challenges. We are able to represent their voices, giving commissioners one place to come. This extends to our tested partnerships with the 4 other GPPOs in Norfolk and Waveney - we are able to provide a truly regional body to access the complex landscape of primary care.
Our Board and staff expertise means that we can respond effectively to new initiatives and NHSE requirements as needed. Our Board consists of representative GP practitioners and Managers to ensure we fully understand key considerations when delivering change in the region.
Collaboration drives effective implementation. Through collaboration we have successfully delivered local transformation and supported new PCNs, for example:
- Our membership voted unanimously to support our undertaking the roll out of Improved Access
- We were able to play a critical role in the response to Covid-19 by setting up the hot hub and the Virtual Clinical Team (VCT), who undertook the clinical monitoring of the shielding population in our area.
- Our eReferral system effectively connects both primary and secondary care services and is able to offer commissioners insights into pathway performance and bottlenecks.
Patient-focused service delivery at scale. We’re committed to ensuring equality of care for the West Norfolk community and focus on unlocking new opportunities to drive efficiencies and resource allocation. Our insight and relationships with providers allows us to put forward innovative ideas for improving care.
